A great day was had celebrating the memory of Blacko on Saturday.

Gymea hosted the day well, bowls was brilliant with a mix of all Johns clubs, Engadine, Gymea, Taren Point and the NSW Firies. As a side to the day it was decided to raise money for Children’s Cancer charity and somewhere in the vicinity of $4000 was raised on the day.

All clubs made contributions to the raffle and direct to the charity, on top of this Blackos Bowls where donated for a raffle, which was won by his good mate Steve Schrieber, a fitting end to a great send off.

We must commend Adam Charlton who worked tirelessly to make the day smooth success, along with Neil Redwood who hatch the idea of a memorial Bowls day for our good mate, Mick Cummins on hosting the day with Gymea Bowling club. the players that went along to Honour their good friend, and Taren Point Bowling club for their contributions towards the Day.

RIP Blacko, gone but not forgotten.
