Last weekend we saw 3 of our sides compete in the Zone Pennant finals.
Grade 2, Grade 6 and Grade 7 black.
Grade 6 had a scratchy start with a draw and loss but came home strong to beat the previous undefeated Olds Park, knocking them off top spot on Sunday morning. This opened the door for Liechardt to snatch the Flag by just a single shot.
7 Black won their first game on Saturday but were out bowled Saturday afternoon. With a win Sunday morning they finished just 2 points behind the Winners and Runners up.
Overall, a great effort and with both sides setting a good foundation for next season.
Grade 2 had a straight final against Double Bay. With Double Bay coming away with a 4 shot victory, collecting a few big ends at key moments to seal the win. As with the 6’s and 7’s there is a great foundation for the 2’s into next season.
Well done to all players, reserves and of course our In-house pennant cup. We hope to see you all for a wrap up on Kevin Hawes Day Saturday 15th June.
